Finding Paint Ball Supplies at a good price is easier than you think. Paintball games are more and more popular all over the country and everywhere around the world. But what makes it so exciting? For people who doesn't know much about it, it's just a war games for kids... Well they get that wrong!
When you're out in the field, you have to escape from the enemy by running and hiding and you have to cover you're team mate as well. Depending of the selected field and the game duration, it represents a good way to do cardio exercise with a high boost of adrenaline.
Is there a risk of injury? Of course, like every other sports. If you play soccer, hockey or ski, you can get hurt. Paintball game is no different and that's why you have to have the proper gear to play this game. After all, the ball is coming out of a gun...
First you will need a good chest protector. Most important characteristic for this gear is a lightweight jersey that will be flexible so it won't restraint your movement. It also need to be light and breathable.
The pants also need to be picked carefully. Just like for the vest, you want the pants to be comfortable without giving up on security and mobility. Since you'll often have to go down on your knees, it's important to get extra padding sturdy enough to take the hit of your hard dives. A good pant will have reinforced knee pads made out of kevlar that won't tear or rip when you slide.
Other good features for paintball pants are good inner waist band so your pants will stay on place to assure proper protection all over the game. Also look for suitable ankle band to prevent dirt in. Finally look for inner mesh lining and ventilated panels to create air flow.
Just like your knees, your knuckle can easily get hurt. So hard knuckle gloves need to be picked up carefully. Look for the one with hard knuckles with a good quality fabric such as goat leather to prevent water from getting in your gloves. You should have leather to cover palms, finger and thumbs and the back of your glove made out of kevlar.
Your head and your eyes will be protected by a full head shield helmet that will give you all around protection.
If you plan to play paintball on a regular basis, I suggest you not to look for cheap equipment. You need security and comfort. If you can afford buying all expensive gear in one time, it's fine. Then you can invest on good gear one part at the time.
Usually people try to upgrade their equipment, so you may look at the paintball field store for old equipment for sale. I suggest you start with a good, brand new head shield. You can then buy a second hand gear and upgrade as your skills go!
Same thing goes with the gun. You can rent it at the field, but you'll see how a different gun can improve your game...
